An Excerpt of a Story Reproduction (1)

This is a bit of my story. I’m a person—I have lots of likes and dislikes, I excel at some things and find other things challenging, I have a voice (though some entities may argue otherwise), and I’m searching for cool-looking, -sounding, -feeling, -smelling, and -tasting thingamabobs in a scrapyard right now.

“This thing sounds wonky, but I really like the feeling of it!”

“From what I can tell, that’s a retractable, extendable, furry [hair dryer] that doesn’t work properly.”

“Hmm… whether it works properly or not depends on the perspective.” I toss it aside. Adopting it would be a little unnecessary, as I only have so much space in my [apartment | sphere].

“Si. I can’t argue with that.”

“If you find anything… uh… oh!”

Cris, my partner in any kind of endeavor involving the exploration of unknown enclaves, let’s my “oh!” ring out in the scrapyard. After they sense that I’ve moved on to the next moment, they ask, “What are you thinking?” I appreciate the question, coming from them specifically, as I can sense curiosity in my inner world, passion for caringness, and hunger for the roads of this adventure to become more and more winding.

“What do you mean?” I poke for greater curiosity.

“I mean whatever came to mind for you when you said ‘oh!’”

“Parkinson’s.”

“Can you share more?”
